Easy Care for your Lips

Image

Just when you want to apply your favorite Lipstick.. the lines on your lips stare back at you.. and thats when you drop your lipstick and chose a lip gloss instead! Hmmm… sad story for many… no matter how much you love your ‘oh so expensive’ lipstick, dry chapped lips will make it look worse. 😦

And I believe most of us think that lip balms are for winters.. we tend to ignore our lips and spend our time in taking care of our face alone!!!!

Winters or Summers our lips need that special attention to be well hydrated… no! no!! sticking out tongue to lick them is not a good option. In fact it strips them of the moisture.

Dadi and Nani were really right when they asked to apply oil in the navel to cure chapped lips.. it works!!!

Here are some tips from my personal experience to keep my lips well hydrated be it day or night… summers or winters… i love to moisturize them. 🙂

In the morning… in the morning… in the morning by the way.. you can brush your teeth and exfoliate your lips.. with the magical wand yayyy!!! lols.. fine i know it was a bad one 😀 haha!! so what i mean to say is.. apply a lip balm at night… and in the morning after brushing your teeth, buy a baby brush as it has soft bristles for lips, exfoliate your lips. Make soft circular movements with that  baby brush (don’t be harsh else the lips will bleed). And Tada!!! you are staring back at your new found soft lips in your bathroom mirror. Do apply a lip balm after this to ensure the suppleness.  And practice this ritual at least twice in a week.

Another great exfoliating agent is lying in your kitchen trying its level best to make you gain a kilo or two.. SUGAR!!! Mix it with honey and rub on your lips for 5 minutes..see the difference yourself. 🙂

Since childhood I detest MALAI (milk cream) but the only time I let it come to my lips is bedtime.. Little Malai on my lips at bedtime.. and I get lovely soft lips in the morning. yummm!!! 😀

These little tricks will not only make them soft and supple but will make them pinkish too.. so you don’t have to worry about getting dark lips with excessive use of lipsticks or err ummm Cigarette!

Be sure that you invest in a good lipbalm.. I have real good experience with the Biotique Berry Plumping Lip Balm because it does what it says. 🙂 If you are stepping out apply a lip balm with some SPF in it to save them from that big round fiery ball hanging in the sky.. huh!

Another tip is to apply a lip balm at least 2 minutes before applying a lipstick.. dab off the excess lip balm with a tissue and apply your favorite lipcolor. Before going out you can exfoliate your lips a little with the brush for an instant plumping effect. 😉

Haha!! I found another thing which gives your lips instant plumping effect and makes them all red.. Momos hot garlic sauce (arrey sadi momos di chutney).

One doesn’t need many tips and tricks to have luscious lips.. just follow two and get the hue!!! 🙂

Why do I always try to rhyme the words..?? hehe old habit 😀

Love,

♥Swati R♥

PS: Olive/Almond oil (rich in Vitamin E) can be your natural lip balms. 🙂

  8. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it
